Bowyer Hails Conway Addition

Craig Conway’s Transfer Deadline Day signing was one that I was happy to see Blackburn Rovers make, in fact I was VERY happy!!

It seems (and you’d hope it was the case seen as he was the man that signed him) Gary Bowyer is too with him hailing the arrival of Conway following his signing from Cardiff City and his impressive debut as a substitute against Blackpool 24-hours later.

Bowyer told the Official Website: “Craig Conway’s deliveries were outstanding, we’ve already seen what a massive part he is going to play for us.

“His general play was good as well, I saw him ping one out wide to Kingy (Josh King) and then sprint to get in the box. That is the desire and the determination that we need.

“He’s a good player, he’s an international and he handles the ball very well. He’s going to be massive to us this season. He is going to be a really good addition.“

I’m a keen fan of wingers and Conway ticks all the right boxes for me, he helped Cardiff to promotion last season and even though I’m not banking on making the play offs this season if his cameo at the weekend is anything to go by then he’ll give us a chance of making them with his full debut expected to come this weekend against Middlesbrough.
