Rovers manager Gary Bowyer was left deflated and annoyed as his Rovers side fell from 3-1 in the lead to be pegged back for a solitary point – in a case of ‘be your own worst enemy’.

Rovers had chances to put the game to bed, most notably when striker Jordan Rhodes hit the side netting when one on one with Chris Kirkland to give the away side a potential 4-2 advantage.

But goals from Jordan, an excellent strike Craig Conway and Michael Keane were not enough for victory with an injury time strike breaking Rovers hearts.

‘You can’t keep coming away from home like we do, scoring three goals and go away with only one point,’ Bowyer told the official Rovers site.

‘It is nobody else’s fault today except ourselves, I think against Millwall and Watford we had justification that it was out of our hands with the penalty decisions that were given, but today it has been totally our own doing.

‘We’ve had enough chances in the second half to put the game to bed and then our defending, especially in the last minute of the game, was not good enough.

‘We were trying to score another goal instead of being professional and seeing the game out.

‘At both ends of the pitch we’ve not been good enough today.’

Rovers are now unbeaten in 8 competitive fixtures, but a few too many draws are costing the lingering play off dream.
