Rovers midfielder David Dunn is to make his return to the squad for the home match with Doncaster this afternoon.

The midfielder has again been out for a spell with one of his usual injury complaints but will be a welcome addition to the side, as he is always productive when on the field.

Gary Bowyer’s boys also have received good news in the form of no fresh injury complaints after the epic effort against Manchester City last weekend, with a clean bill of health reported.

Todd Kane, Corry Evans and Dickson Etuhu are all still a way off returning yet though.

‘David Dunn has trained all week so we expect him to be in contention for the squad,’ said Bowyer to the club’s official website.

‘Todd Kane (thigh) is still another week or two, Corry Evans (ankle) trained very well with the physios for the first time really today. He’s ben off with a cold but trained really well with the physios. So we hope he might join in at the back end of next week.

‘Dickson Etuhu (ankle) is a bit away but he is starting to progress nicely.’

Rovers head into the game unbeaten in their opening matches in 2014.
