Blackburn were beaten by Cardiff in the Championship on Saturday as the new year began the same the way as the last ended….with a one-nil defeat!

Cardiff took the lead in the second half when Joe Mason followed up after Craig Noone had seen his shot blocked on the line by Shane Duffy to give the home side the points.
