Vital Blackburn’s most recent poll asked “Which partner (past or present) would you pair with Benni if you could?” The man most would have liked would’ve been Alan Shearer.
With 56% of the vote Alan Shearer is the man that most people would have liked to have seen Benni McCarthy partnered with if possible.
The young emerging talent that is Matt Derbyshire came in next with 16% ahead of the man Benni has ultimately more than replaced Craig Bellamy with 15%. Somewhat surprisingly Simon “the legend” Garner gained only 6% with the “other” option gaining 5%. Jason Roberts was the rank outsider with only 2%.
So in summary
Craig Bellamy – 15%
Matt Derbyshire – 16%
Simon Garner – 6%
Jason Roberts – 2%
Alan Shearer – 56%
Other – 5%
