Improvement But Still Doubts

Blackburn Rovers Manager Gary bowyer delivered us some positive news in the lead up to the Championship match with Ipswich Town but we’ve still got some injury concerns.

We had no fewer than eight first-team players missing for the 0-0 draw with Huddersfield Town before the International break. That draw was a little frustrating but given the players missing wasn’t a bad result as such, however, the amount of missed chances was!!

Ahead of the trip to Portman Road to take on inform Ipswich Town he was able to confirm that Corry Evans returned from International duty with Northern Ireland “fit and well” but as we know both Grant Hanley and Josh King return from duty with Scotland and Norway, respectively, with injuries.

We’ll be getting updates on these two today, however, they’ll almost certainly miss the match against The Tractor Boys one would think??

Rudy Gestede, Tom Cairney and Alex Baptiste are all definitely fit to be involved in some shape, way and form and positively Paul Robinson and David Dunn have been in training, Bowyer says that Dunn will “go into the squad” but I’d imagine that Robinson we’ll remain absent.

I don’t think that it can be argued that Bowyer was right that the last International break came at the right time (when it’s sometimes at the wrong) as it allowed us to get several players fit and ready again, however, on the flip side we’ve seen Hanley and King return with injuries!!

Tommy Spurr, Chris Brown and Jason Lowe remained unavailable though of course.
