Lowe Blow For Blackburn

An injury setback for Jason Lowe was the only real disappointment on an otherwise successful Saturday afternoon for Blackburn Rovers in victory over Charlton Athletic.

In terms of the match itself Gary Bowyer said that his only disappointment was that we didn’t score more goals, however, after an influential first half Lowe was forced off early in the second half after feeling his foot injury again.

Bowyer told Radio Rovers: “The disappointment is the injury to Lowey because I thought he was absolutely outstanding in that first half.

“It is his foot so we’ll asses that and see how it is.

The sight of Lowe sat on the floor with his team-mates around him wasn’t a welcome one.

Bowyer’s hopeful that it’s “just a knock” and as Lowe felt it early enough (and we took him off soon enough) it might not be too serious, however, he’ll almost certainly miss the Boxing Day match with Bolton Wanderers at least.

Fingers crossed for some good news on Lowe!!
