Blackburn Rovers have opened contract talks with defender Lucas Neill.
Neill has one year left on his current deal but Rovers boss Mark Hughes wants to tie up the 28-year-old Australian on a long-term deal.
Rovers chairman John Williams told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: ‘We have had preliminary talks with Lucas’ camp so the process has started.’
The club is also negotiating with Tugay, Michael Gray and Paul Dickov.
