Blackburn Rovers are understood to be interested in signing Shikabala and the midfielder is happy to be linked with a move to the Premier League.

The Egyptian International is being linked with the Premier League (and in particular a move to Ewood Park) and skysports.com understands that Sam Allardyce is monitoring the 24-year-old who is happy with these links.

Shikabala told skysports.com: “To be honest, I am finding my feet in Zamalek, and I love it here, however to go and play in a big European league would be fantastic.

“I am being linked with a move to the Premier League, I know clubs have been looking at me, but a concrete offer has not reached Zamalek’s desk yet.

Personally I don’t know anything about the dude other than what skysports.com have told us about his name, his nationality, his position, his age and the fact that he currently plays for Zamalek. However, if Allardyce is watching the midfielder then I’m sure Big Sam will only make a move for Shikabala if the price is right and he’ll improve our squad.

  • it doesn’t sound like he has an attitude problem from his response. all those qualities sound good to me except for the light-weight part.

  • your welcome lads…being of egyptian heritage myself i follow alot of egyptian players….still hoping to find one who makes it in england with no attitude problem….hopefully he is one…

  • I don’t know to be honest…its a gamble really…if it works i think he can become a really good player….if not…i don’t think he would cost too much to buy…so its not too much of a risk i think…
