The Blackburn Rovers season will be disrupted once again by the International Break after the Ipswich Town visit to Ewood Park in the SkyBet Championship this afternoon.

However, depending on the outcome this break might come at the right time for Blackburn in the end?? Possibly at the right time anyway with several players injured and others carrying knocks.

It’ll be enjoyed more if points are taken into it!!

If Jordan Rhodes can maintain his goalscoring run recently (as he often has against a former club too with him scoring in each of Ipswich’s last three visits to Ewood) it’ll give Rovers a better chance of extending the run of six wins from the last eight matches played at Ewood with those other two drawn.

Gary Bowyer’s already said Chris Taylor’s going to be involved in the squad for the first time this season. Danny Guthrie needs a fitness test though but is likely to join another two or three to miss out, however, Tommy Spurr could come back in.

Ipswich brought on David McGoldrick and Brett Pitman against Bristol City and they helped The Tractor Boys to a draw last Saturday afternoon so could start but former Rovers trialist Giles Coke is injured along with Teddy Bishop and Luke Hyam.

Rovers are getting some momentum going, some of these draws need to be turned into wins though with this a match we could win and I’ve got this feeling we might!!

I’ll go 2-1 to Rovers.
