Rovers Reject Hull’s Rhodes Offer

Mr Mikey ended his article about Blackburn Rovers confirming a Hull City offer had come in for Jordon Rhodes by saying “money, ambition, money, ambition”, wondering what would be shown.

At the moment Rovers have (it seems) shown ambition (not to mention strength) by turning down the offer, which is speculated as being £12million, however, it’s also said that the amount might have been as little as £10million??

In fact some reports today say Hull offered an insulting £8million!!

If Rhodes is to be sold the twenty-four-year-old would set the Premier League side back £15million (again, some speculation claims £12million is being demanded) so Hull now have to decide if they’re going to come back in with another offer or walk away (and stop unsettling our star striker!!)

In my honest opinion considering that Hull have seen Dundee United voice concerns over a lack of payment to them for a payment of £1million what chance would we have of getting a hefty upfront payment for the Scottish International!! Hull are a Premier League side (and could play Europa League Football this season) but we’re still the bigger club and from a career perspective is it the right move??

Money talks though so if Hull do come back in with an improved offer (and structure payment to suit us!!) I think we’d be naïve to think that he isn’t going to move on.
