However, who will Blackburn Rovers get in the FA Cup Third Round stage this season??

Who would you like this to be?? A Lower League (or Non League) minnow that Blackburn would be expected to beat, yet this leave us open to an early (and shock) exit in January when we come into the FA Cup!!

Perhaps a Barclays Premier League side when we’re not expected to win but (like we did a few times last season) if we do it’ll see us cause an upset ourselves and allow Rovers to quietly keep progressing.

A Lancashire rival could be drawn, however, I’d like to avoid that I think!!

We’ll find out this evening as the draw for the Third Round (I always enjoy this) is made LIVE on BBC2 from 7:00pm and I’ll be looking on with a keen interest.

The SkyBet Championship season (and a push towards the play offs) is the priority for Rovers over the second half of the season but I don’t see why the FA Cup shouldn’t be a welcome distraction and I’ll want us to win as many matches as possible and go as far as we can!!
