Reports in Tuesday’s Times Newspaper and a report on Skysports.com are saying Rovers captain Andy Todd wants to walk away from Ewood, and before the transfer window closes on Thursday.

At the tail end of last season with Todd even then not guaranteed a first team place reports started spreading he would be willing to move on, and his recent dropping to the substitute’s bench in place of Dutchman Andre Ooijer seems to have convinced the 31-year-old that his future may lay elsewhere.

Skysports.com say Manchester City, Portsmouth, Leeds, Sunderland and Bolton, a previous club that showed him the door following a training ground dispute that saw him allegedly breaking the then assistant manager Phil Brown’s nose, are all interested.

Although no official announcement has been made I am sure Mark Hughes will not want Todd to go but if Todd really wants to leave it seems likely he will and if he has his way before midnight on Thursday.
