Slew joins Oldham on loan

Rovers have allowed young striker Jordan Slew to join Oldham Athletic on a six month loan deal.


Slew has been unable to make a breakthrough since joining from Sheffield United on deadline day last summer, as a result the club have loaned him out to League One Latics to gain further experience in a first team side.


What’s more surprising is that Rovers seem to have hand picked the club for Jordan to join, having sent a current first team player on loan there a few seasons back.


The Oldham manager told the Latics official site – ‘They saw how Jason Lowe came on when he came on loan the season before last and also the way we try to play football.’
