Spurr Blow For Rovers

Blackburn Rovers will be without Tommy Spurr for another two-weeks, at least.

Gary Bowyer has confirmed that the left-back isn’t going to return this side of the International break (which comes a week Saturday after the trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers), however, all being well he’ll be available for consideration once the Championship returns after the break??

Fortunately Markus Olsson (who didn’t even look like he would return this season for a while) has started the season in superb form and has softened the blow of the loss of Spurr with the Swede (quite rightly) earning the praise of his Manager in The Lancashire Evening Telegraph this week.

Also missing for Rovers for the match with Norwich City at Carrow Road tonight are central defender Matt Kilgallon and striker Chris Brown, however, it’s hoped that Kilgallon at least will be fit to return when AFC Bournemouth come to Ewood Park on Saturday.
