It’s back into Championship action for Blackburn this weekend with a home game next up.

Blackburn are back at Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon when Sheffield Wednesday are the latest visitors as we seek to extend our unbeaten run to 10-games.

We’ve got a bit of a concern over captain Grant Hanley, he was forced off in our one-one draw with Middlesbrough last weekend and needs a fitness test.

Tom Cairney (suspension) and on-loan ‘keeper Jason Steele (ineligible) are back in contention but Tommy Spurr (groin), Jason Lowe (foot), Matt Kilgallon (knee) and Josh King (back) are out.

Sheffield Wednesday have Joe Mattock (ankle) back but Jose Semedo (suspension) sits out after his booking in the win over Wigan last weekend.

Caolan Lavery (knee) could feature but Giles Coke (Achilles), Sam Hutchinson (knee), Lewis Buxton and Kamil Zayatte (hamstring) are forced to sit out.

Blackburn have lost only one in the last nine competitive meetings with Sheffield Wednesday, the chance to extend this to 10 and also the unbeaten run to 10 must be fancied!
