The traditional Boxing Day game will see Blackburn in action away from home in the Championship this time round.

Blackburn head to rivals Bolton on Boxing Day for the game at the Macron Stadium on Boxing Day.

Bolton will need Craig Davies (hamstring) to prove his fitness but will be without Joe Mason (hamstring) and Max Clayton (knee). Former England striker Emile Heskey could make his debut after signing a short-term deal.

We’ll be without Alex Baptiste (ineligible) as he can’t face his parent club with Jason Lowe (foot) an injury doubt after picking up a recurrence of his old injury in our two-nil win over Charlton last weekend.

Bolton’s record against us in the last six is impressive, winning five and only losing once including a four-nil win at the Macron Stadium last season.
