Harry Redknapp is the name on everyone’s lips today with various rumours starting up regards the vastly experienced former Spurs manager.

It was long thought that Redknapp would not entertain the thought of managing Rovers but both the Daily Mail and the Lancashire Telegraph have been quoted as saying that the former Southampton, Portsmouth, Spurs and Bournemouth manager would be interested in a get together to discuss the vacant position at Ewood Park.

Since that news became public knowledge it has emerged that Rovers would like to bring the man famous for slouching over an open car window whilst pooling on cost grounds with Joe Jordan in for talks over the job with interviews for the position underway as of today.

Sky Sports are saying that ‘Blackburn Rovers have expressed a strong interest in speaking to Harry Redknapp about their managerial vacancy.

Rovers have been without a manager since Steve Kean left the club last month, and they have failed to land the likes of Tim Sherwood, Billy McKinlay and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.’

Shebby Singh and Derek Shaw are the men tasked with finding a new boss and after yesterday’s club statement it is believed that a shortlist has been drawn up (again) with up to 8 names on it.

Tomorrow is four weeks and counting since Kean left however, it’s slow going…
