Blackburn’s Championship season continued with a draw at St Andrew’s against Birmingham on Tuesday.

Goals haven’t been something Blackburn have lacked at Birmingham in recent visits but a failure to manage one, with goals something the Blues have also lacked recently, seeing this end in a nil-nil draw meaning Birmingham haven’t scored at home in four of the last five-matches on home soil….

The best chance of the first half went Blackburn’s way with Leicester loanee Lawrence forcing his way through by his finish didn’t force a save as it wasn’t on target.

Gray had a couple of Birmingham chances on the night; one was off target with another saved by Rovers ‘keeper Steele, not that he had to work too hard to manage this, as he kept the game goalless.

Birmingham’s former Man United ‘keeper Kuszczak made a fine save to thwart Duffy with his header from corner saved by him to keep the Blackburn defender out and prevent Rovers taking the lead.

Defensive resolution is something Blackburn have found of late with a fine Steele save late on to keep out a Cotterill effort ensured a third Rovers cleansheet in four-matches was secured and a point taken home.

This draw keeps Blackburn in 15th with daylight between Rovers and the bottom three but something higher is what most would have wanted from this season, if not expect!
