Vital Blackburn’s most recent poll, Suggested by govtpros asked “Most consecutive Rovers League appearances?” Most felt Ronnie Clayton.

As govtpros continues his campaign to make sure that Blackburn Rovers Football Club’s past is not forgotten; and not just the immediate past or present focused on (something that I and quite a few people are in full support of I must add) he set you a poll that required some possible research before voting, if people wanted or indeed needed to?

With 208 consecutive League appearances between 1934 and 1946 Walter Crook was the man we were looking for, only 17% were right!!! That is staggering…

Govtpros added this, which he wanted me to share:

To assist in teaching our younger fans about Blackburn Rovers Football Club’s historical players, perhaps this could be added to the answer page?

Derek Fazackerley – 38, 1969-87 Most League Cup appearances.
Terry Gennoe – 289, 1981/82 – 1990/91 Most League appearances by a
goalkeeper
Ronnie Clayton – 56, 1949-1969 Most FA Cup appearances.
Harry Dennison – aged 16yrs, 155 days v Bristol City Div 1, 8th April 1911
Youngest player to appear for Rovers.
Denis Maxwell – aged 18, 193 days, 2001-2006 Best programme seller ever to
work for Rovers.

So in summary
Ronnie Clayton – 50%
Walter Crook – 17%
Harry Dennison – 4%
Derek Fazackerley – 17%
Terry Gennoe – 8%
Denis Maxwell – 4%
