The FA Cup third round draw saw Blackburn paired with Championship rivals Charlton, and this isn’t a tie that’s caught the imagination of too many people!
It’s a difficult one isn’t it, everyone wants to progress in the FA Cup but if we got a ‘top’ Premier League club then they would, right or wrong, be favourites and our adventure could end at the first hurdle….
Draw a lower or non-league side and it’s a banana skin in the making, get a club from the same league and it becomes under-whelming, a la Charlton at the Valley.

As long as we can progress into the fourth round that’s the most important thing though isn’t it? And as difficult as Charlton, away, will be we’ve got to fancy our chances.
