Jason Lowe is ready to return for Blackburn Rovers and hopes that Gary Bowyer will involve him in the first-team for the first time this season at Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

Lowe had been involved in our first six matches of The Championship season, however, in the end a stress fracture in his foot (that he wasn’t even aware of at first!!) left him sidelined for the past twelve-weeks but finally the midfielder is back in first-team team contention and hopes to be involved by Gary Bowyer at Griffin Park.

He told The Lancashire Telegraph: “It’s been a long time but I`ve worked really hard to maintain a good level of fitness so hopefully that won`t be too much of a problem.

“It’s just about getting my bearings back, getting back out on the football field and getting bodies around me.

“Hopefully I’ll be ready and available for selection by the weekend if the manager needs me.

Playing forty-five minutes of the behind closed doors friendly with Crewe Alexandra gives the twenty-three-year-old a better chance of making his return to the squad, our unbeaten run ending too could mean Bowyer looks to shake things up, however, with just a weeks worth of training and a half of a friendly under his belt after three-months out it’ll be unlikely he starts.

In my honest opinion Saturday’s too soon for a return I think as we look to react to the Sheffield Wednesday defeat, as Lowe feels we can and will against The Bees.
