Bowyer: We Move On

It was another disappointing defeat for Blackburn Rovers last Saturday against Brentford but Gary Bowyer believes (as we had to) we’ve moved on from it.

Defeat to Brentford made it successive defeats for the first time this season and even though Charlton Athletic have won only once in the last eight matches they’ve played it’ll still be a challenge for us that’ll be difficult.

Assessment of the 2-1 Brentford defeat has taken place, the well documented errors that we’re made are things that he’s keen for us to learn from (as he feels we will) but that has now been moved on with a line drawn under it.

Bowyer told The Official Website: “We’ve gone through the video with them, we’ve expressed our concerns over what we saw and how it was and now it is a case of moving on.

“If you look at the games, especially the last two, the manner of the goals has been through individual errors at that time.

“They are still young some of them and they are still learning, people make mistakes when they are learning and the most important thing is that you don’t repeat those mistakes and that is what we have said to them this week.“

He knows we’ve got a real challenge ahead of us against The Addicks and as he’s been impressed with the reaction shown in training since the defeat at Griffin Park he’s confident that the determination we’ve shown to “put it right” can see this happen.
