Jordan Rhodes is targeting some Christmas cheer for the Blackburn Rovers supporters at Ewood Park this afternoon.

The Rovers striker is well aware that our “half-decent run” has suddenly been and gone and the form we’re now on is disappointing but as much as the Charlton Athletic match is going to be another difficult one at Ewood Park he’s in confident mood that we’ll be able to get back to winning ways and give the supporters an early Christmas present.

He told The Official Website: “We’ve gone from a half-decent run in being nine unbeaten to six points in six games which doesn’t look very good on paper at all.

“So going into the game against Charlton we’ll very much be looking to get back to winning ways and giving the crowd something to cheer about, a bit of optimism around Christmas time
.

The Scottish International (I used the term loosely as Gordon Strachan doesn’t select him often!!) didn’t think that we deserved to lose against Sheffield Wednesday and lost at Brentford last Saturday because we didn’t “put our stamp on the game”, which is unusual this season.

Rhodes will be one of those hoping to get back into the starting eleven and if he isn’t at Ewood this afternoon I’ll be very surprised!!
