Crucial Time For Rovers??

Blackburn Rovers have enjoyed an okay season so far in my opinion, this okay season could become a superb one but much of that will depend on what happens in the next 24-hours or so.

Every supporter at every club would like more (and Blackburn fans wouldn’t be any different) so if a player or two could be brought to Ewood Park before the transfer deadline on Friday night at 11pm that would be good for our season’s chances. However, what happens with players leaving Ewood will be more important really.

I’m pleasantly surprised that at this stage we’ve managed to keep hold of (most) of our key players when the speculation at the end of last year before we even moved into the New Year was that X-player was going to go as was X-player.

I remember a few months ago a Rovers player (I’ll not say who as I don’t want to tempt fate before Friday, and will then share my views on this next week perhaps) said that he felt this season could end up in us returning to the Premier League if something panned out as he hoped. I didn’t have too much confidence in those thoughts at the time but if we can get through this crucial next 24-hours or so relatively unscathed I might have to reassess my thoughts.

I’d definitely think I would if Rovers are able to add to the squad and not lose (Scott Dann aside) any key performers!!
