Vital Blackburn’s most recent poll asked “Who do you think is, or could be Benni McGoalmachines best strike partner?” Matt Derbyshire is the man.
With 46% of the vote the majority see Rovers young starlet Matt Derbyshire as the ideal partner for Benni McCarthy, when fit of course (works out nicely with the picture being used!) With 31% voting in favour of the recently returning from a long term lay off Jason Rovers, so he wasn’t far behind.
The “fox in the box” Francis Jeffers was a surprise third choice runner, with 11% thinking that maybe he should get his chance with the often preferred choice earlier in the season of Shabani Nonda the joint outsider with Paul Gallagher on 6%.

Paul Gallagher – 6%
Francis Jeffers – 11%
Shabani Nonda – 6%
Jason Roberts – 31%
With the FA Cup fifth round against Arsenal coming up on Sunday the current poll is asking, How far (be honest? not just hopeful!) will Rovers go in the FA Cup?
