DJ Campbell has rejoined Blackburn Rovers, this time on a two year deal after becoming a free transfer signing.
Campbell endured a difficult loan spell at Ewood Park last season, after struggling with injuries and the death of a family member and was sent back to parent club QPR having not hit the onion bag a solitary time.
But Rovers have returned for Campbell and boss Gary Bowyer is pleased with the addition, given Campbell’s previous pedigree in England’s second tier.
Bowyer told the official website – ‘He’s a player who has huge experience and is a proven goalscorer at this level.
‘He feels he has some unfinished business with the club and is hungry to succeed.
‘He will add a different dimension to our attacking options and he is the right character we want to have on board.’
Welcome back DJ.
