Every game played, win lose or draw, requires a man of the match to be awarded, so the last Championship game, even in defeat, against Sheffield Wednesday was no different.

Given the options of those involved, be that as part of the starting XI or having come into the game to make the impact as a substitute (which obviously a player that comes off the bench to be voted as such would have!), a Man of the Match in our two-one defeat at Ewood Park against Sheffield Wednesday has been found.

This was Gestede, who with 26% of the voting got this ahead of goalscorer Baptiste.

Poll findings:-

Blackburn Rovers Man of the Match v Sheffield Wednesday?

Gestede (Off 67) 26%
Baptiste 20%
Duffy 13%
Substitute: Tunnicliffe (On 66) 13%
Steele 10%
Rhodes 6%
Conway (Off 82) 6%
Evans 6%
Williamson (Off 66) 0%
Marshall 0%
Olsson 0%
Hanley 0%
Substitute: Brown (On 67) 0%
Substitute: Dunn (On 82) 0%

It’s always easy to pick someone in a win but not so easy in defeat but, come what may, someone has to be viewed as the best of the bunch regardless and the Blackburn striker was seen as this man despite playing only ¾ of the game.

Would Gestede wining the MotM vote be one that you would agree with? The only way to let us know would be by having your say below!
