Signed for 4 million pounds under the Paul Ince era, Vince Grella promised so much when he first landed on English shores. However, Injury after Injury have provided continuous setbacks for the Australian International defensive Midfielder. However, VInce Grella is now fit and in full action, starring in Rovers victory over Wigan a fortnight ago.

With Blackburn’s Premier League status still undecided, Grella is optimistic on Rovers chances

‘We need three points to survive, and two of our remaining games are at Ewood Park, Hopefully we can do it against Portsmouth on Sunday’

‘We have been playing well enough and I am sure the experience of Sam Allardyce will get us through’

Grella continues on, describing the English League as being played at ‘250 Miles per Hour’, in comparison to the Seria A ‘ 100 MPH’.

Vince Grella also backed his Australian compatriot, Tim Cahill, who resides 5 minutes away from him, to triumph in the FA Cup final against Chelsea.

‘I honestly believe they are good enough to win it, they (Everton) will go in with no fears…..It would be fantastic for Timmy to win it’

Vinnie is also looking towards helping Australia in their Bid to qualify for the 2010 World Cup. After he has secured Premiership football for 2009-10 season, Vinnie will fly of to Dubai to acclimatise for the match against the Qataris….

Good to see Vinnie confident, now bring us home big boy!!!!!
