Hull Admit Defeat!!

Hull City have given up on trying to lure Jordan Rhodes away from Blackburn Rovers.

The Premier League side failed with two bids last week with Rovers standing firm and insisting that our star striker wasn’t for sale. Everyone has their price and if Hull had reached that perhaps the story would’ve been different but reaching that price isn’t something they can do with Hull Manager Steve Bruce saying that this move is “dead and buried” so he’ll now turn his attentions elsewhere.

Rumours that Rhodes was going to “demand and exit” and put in a transfer request to get this move (yes, Rhodes certainly played and celebrated like a player that was determined to force an exit, the same player that signed a new contract just this summer!!) has also proven to be complete and utter nonsense and tabloid trash!!

Hull’s loss will definitely continue to be our gain and hopefully Gary Bowyer can be given a little bit extra to bring players into Ewood Park before the Transfer Window closes on Monday.

In other news Alex Baptiste has made it clear that he has no intention of returning to Bolton Wanderers once his season loan with Rovers expires, an extended stay at Ewood is what the defender wants.

Much of this will depend on how you perform this season Alex!!
