Rovers make Appleton approach

Rovers have announced on their official website that they’ve made an approach to Blackpool manager Michael Appleton.

Director Derek Shaw has confirmed that he is the only manager they’ve made a move for following the departure of Henning Berg last month.

Appleton hasn’t been in his current role at the Tangerines long but there have been rumblings and rumours of discontent between Appleton and Blackpool owner Karl Oyston.
