Vital Blackburn’s most recent poll asked who was the “Rovers Man of the Month verses Manchester United?” Unsurprisingly and correctly so Brad Friedel was this man.
For the first time (thanks to the new format for the polls) we have been able to vote on whom we felt was the Rovers Man of the Match for a game. Without question and rightly so Brad Friedel has been voted just that with 48%
But for Friedel Rovers would have suffered a far heavier defeat than the 4-1 we did in the end at Old Trafford. The former American International and Rovers legend made save after save after save to keep Manchester United at bay for so long, continuing to make saves after they had finally beat him.
