Rovers have put an announcement on their official website denying rumours that Derek Shaw is set to leave the club.
It was reported widely this morning that Rovers Managing Director Shaw was facing the boot after running into trouble over the sacking of Henning Berg, but the clubs PR have released a statement to the contrary.
The statement read – ‘Blackburn Rovers have acted to quash rumours regarding the position of managing director Derek Shaw.
The club’s owners wish it to be known that, contrary to those widespread rumours, Mr. Shaw is very much with the club and insist that all other recent reports are untrue.’
More confusion and denials? Oh goody.
