Rovers have completed their third summer signing, with defender Alex Baptiste joining from neighbours Bolton on a season long loan deal.
Baptiste is known to be able to operate at right back and centre back, with the right side of defence position identified as an area of weakness for Rovers last term.
The move should give reinforcement to defensive areas, with Rovers well stocked further up the field but not so in the protective areas – with only Matthew Kilgallon and Grant Hanley as recognised first team centre backs and Adam Henley the sole occupant of the right back slot.
