Rovers are sweating over the fitness of midfield duo Lee Williamson and Corry Evans, with both in a race against time to recover from their Tuesday night knocks against Brighton.

With Rovers set to head into a home double header against Millwall and QPR over the course of the next four days, the club are keen to get both back into action – with midfield hardly an area that Rovers are blessed in.

‘Corry has progressed nicely and we hope he trains tomorrow, it isn’t as bad as first feared,’ said the Rovers boss to the official website.

‘It is the same with Lee Williamson, so those two have done really well since Tuesday.

‘Jason Lowe is still a little but short at the moment but we are hoping that after this weekend he should be close.

‘It is just a bit annoying, for the lad especially, his legs and his energy and enthusiasm for the game, we certainly need that for the run-in.’

There is good news over the return to full fitness of Rudy Gestede, who is in line for a start. But Jason Lowe is still a little off a proper return.
