Vital Blackburn’s most recent Poll asked you “Player of the Month for February?” You voted in favour of Christopher Samba.

The Player of the Month Award goes to someone new (a non winner previously) for the third month running! Brad Friedel took the crown in December 2006, Morten Gamst Pedersen in January 2007 and with a massive 62% of the vote this time round Christopher Samba claims the award after also being voted Defender of the Month.

Chris “the Beast” Samba has made quite an impact since his £400,000 signing from Hertha Berlin in January, playing a great deal more games than had been expected but Mark Hughes has liked what he’s seen and kept him playing, and rightly so.

David Bentley finished runner up with 13% with Brad Friedel (8%), Morten Gamst Pedersen (8%), Benni McCarthy (5%) and Shabani Nonda (4%) all pretty close there after.

So in summary
David Bentley – 13%
Brad Friedel – 8%
Benni McCarthy – 5%
Shabani Nonda – 4%
Morten Gamst Pedersen – 8%
Christopher Samba – 62%

So the search for February’s Player of the Month has ended with Samba taking the crown, the current poll is asking, “What was February’s top Goal?

You decide so cast your vote (don’t forget you can view the goals before you vote!) and why not have your say on the latest polls findings?
