Blackburn’s Championship season continued with a draw at Ewood Park against Brentford on Saturday

A Brentford opener from Vibe was cancelled out shortly after when Blackburn’s Lawrence equalised for Rovers to ensure the points were shared in this one-one draw.

The opened goal came for Brentford when Swift set up Vibe (23) who was able to see off the challenge of Blackburn defender Duffy with him then beating Steele in the Rovers goal to make it one-nil.

It wasn’t long before Blackburn were level though with Leicester loanee Lawrence (37), who wouldn’t have put off his apparent suitors, tying it up with the forward cutting in from the wing before putting in a cross that turned into a shot that found a way past Brentford ‘keeper Button.

A lead was only denied Blackburn with Button then making fine save to deny Lawrence his second, turning his effort onto post with Brentford also threatening to retake the lead with Steele making a fine save to keep out McCormack.

Duffy, who was shrugged off the ball for the Brentford goal, could, and should, have put Rovers ahead early in the second half but with the goal crying out the defender heading wide but did make up for that miss with a fine block to deny Vibe.

Vibe had another chance but Steele once again kept Blackburn level with the ‘keeper saving with his legs with Marshall almost winning it for Rovers late on with his 25-yard drive into the top corner kept out by a fine Button save.

Failure to win means the disappointing home form continues for Blackburn with Rovers winning only once at Ewood since August.
