International call ups for Grant Hanley, Jordan Rhodes and Corry Evans have been confirmed on rovers.co.uk.

The upcoming international break will see Blackburn representing the home nations of Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Scotland, who have to win their final two qualifiers against Poland and Gibraltar to have any chance of making it to Euro 2016, have called up Rovers captain Hanley with Gordon Strachan recalling, finally, Rhodes too!

Too little too late? Maybe so but Hanley and Rhodes will both look to add to the 19 and 13 caps, respectively, they’ve won so far you tend to think that, based on previous anyway, Hanley would be the more likely though!

Evans on the other hand will be looking to help Northern Ireland to the two-points they need from their final qualifiers with Romania and Hungary to book a place at the Euros and leave him hopeful of a place in the squad in France next summer.

Also confirmed as going off for international duty after the next round of Championship games are Darragh Lenihan at U21 level for the Republic of Ireland and Mark Edgar for Northern Ireland at U19 level.

Good luck to all of them, and others who will possibly be called up as well, during the international’s but our priority is that they come back fit for Rovers after the break, which comes after the Ipswich game this weekend.
