Rovers are set to welcome back David Dunn and DJ Campbell from injury, Gary Bowyer has confirmed.

Campbell has not featured so far this campaign, after picking up an injury during the pre-season visit to Preston North End but the Rovers boss is hopeful the player will be abck in the squad for Tuesday’s visit of Watford – with the weekend’s game against Bournemouth on the south coast likely to come too soon.

Dunn on the other hand was in fine form before sustaining an operable injury prior to the derby against Burnley, playing a key role in the big home wins against Bolton and Barnsley, so his injury came as something of a blow, particularly as the side have struggled in attacking areas of the field since.

“Dunny and DJ are progressing very nicely,” said Bowyer.

“If they don`t feature before the international break then I`ll certainly be looking to welcome them back after that.

“If they do come back before the break it will be massive for us. If not, the added advantage of an international break, if you can call it that, is that it gives time to people who are injured to get recovered.”

Both are due back in similar time frames, which should come as good news with Rovers light in certain areas.

Players such as Adam Henley, Ruben Rochina, Paul Robinson and Dickson Etuhu are all due back from long term injuries over the next few months as well.
