Blackburn Rovers have swooped to sign Crystal Palace’s Alex Marrow, a former player at Ewood Park.

Marrow was the boy picked up by the Rovers youth team after being spotted during a kick up competition in Manchester a few years ago. But after failing to make much of an impression was taken on by Crystal Palace.

But Rovers boss Gary Bowyer, who knows the player from his time working with the Academy set up, has opted to bring Marrow back – for an undisclosed fee – after his the Selhurst Park club secured promotion to the Premier League in May.

Marrow has this afternoon confirmed a three year deal at Rovers, and has joined the rest of the squad over in Portugal for their pre-season camp.
