The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Nottingham Forest this Monday.

Blackburn Rovers host Nottingham Forest on Monday December 14 for the game at Ewood Park and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Christopher Kavanagh
Linesmen: Scott Oldham and Peter Wright
Fourth Official: Mark Heywood

Match Day referee Kavanagh (Lancashire) has officiated one Blackburn match this season – the scoreless draw with Birmingham on November 3. In that game he showed four yellow cards, two to Rovers.

He has however already taken in seventeen other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and Football divisions, he has handed out a total of 58 yellow cards and one red card.

He was most card happy in the match between Blackpool and Barnsley on September 19 with a total of six yellows being shown. He also showed six earlier in the season in the Capital One Cup clash between Aston Villa and Notts County in August.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
