Anthony O’Connor has been sent out on loan by Blackburn Rovers once again.

If a first-team chance with Rovers for the Republic of Ireland Under-21 International defender is going to come this season it isn’t going to be coming until the second half of the season as he’ll be spending time on loan with Plymouth Argyle in League 2 until the 10th of January.

The twenty-one-year-old was on loan with another Devon based club Torquay United for most of last season and spent the previous season with Burton Albion (both in League 2) and the defender will now spend another six-months at that level.

Will O’Connor come back and be in Gary Bowyer’s plans from January onwards, in my honest opinion I don’t think so.
