Strengthen The Defence

The latest Vital Blackburn poll was asking for views on the areas most in next of strengthening this summer before the season begins next month (or the transfer window closes.)

And those results are now in.

Where do we need to strengthen still?

IMHO I think we’re looking good 7%

Since this poll was added we did bring in both Alex Baptiste (who is versatile to play in a range of defensive roles) and got Markus Olsson secured on a new contract so perhaps the views would now be different??

I went for the option that we’re looking good, as even before these two were added (and David Dunn also returned) I didn’t think we needed much more but maybe felt that perhaps an experienced and solid central defender was needed, however, this is easier said than done!!

Maybe Baptiste could be considered as such an option but in my honest opinion I think I’d rather we brought in a specialised central defender if we can. If we can’t I’m still quite happy.
